NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING
FY25 CDBG COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ALLOCATION PROGRAM
The County of Ashland will apply to the Ohio Department of Development/Office of Community Development for funding under the FY25 Community Development Formula Program. The County is eligible for approximately $150,000.00 under this program.
On February 27, 2025, the County conducted the first public hearing to inform citizens about this grant program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other program requirements. Based on both citizen input and local officials’ assessment of the County’s needs, the County is proposing to undertake the following activities under this program:
Approx. $150,000.00 will be used for the following projects:
Village of Bailey Lakes- Parks & Recreation Improvements- $140,000.00
Administration- $6,000.00
Fair Housing- $4,000.00
In the event that any of the above projects are not able to be implemented in the time allowed, as a secondary (back-up) project, a street replacement project will be undertaken in the Village of Loudonville. If grant funding allocations are not approved due to the federal budget, no projects will be undertaken.
If funding is available, the County plans to apply for the following Competitive Set-Aside funding: Neighborhood Revitalization Grant- Village of Savannah- $750,000.00
The second public hearing will be held on May 22, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., in the second floor meeting room in the Ashland County Office Building, 110 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio, to give citizens the opportunity to review and comment on Ashland County’s proposed application. This notice is also available on the Ashland County website at www.ashlandcounty.org.
